Q: Iphone ICloud backup problem

MY husband's iPhone 6 Plus has never automatically backed itself up on his ICloud account and yet he has ample iCloud storage to back the phone up. What could be the proble?

    As far as I understand, the phone has never been backed up, but if you are trying to backup manually, the predicted size for the following backup seems too small, compared to the used space on the phone.

    You can check the size for the backup to be made by iCloud if you go to Settings/iCloud/Storage/Manage Strorage/your husbands device/Backup options.

    Here you can choose the data that has to be part of the backup and select the app data  that has to be backed up.

    As you select the items, the size of the future backup will be shown on top of the list.

    Automatic backups occur when:

     

    If it's not working, check to see if you can do a manual backup in Settings > iCloud > Backup and tap on Backup Now.
