Q: Can't  share photos using new Photo

Hi, this is really frustrating,  i switch from iPhoto to the new Photo and now i cant share my photos (by iMail, Facebook, etc, etc.).

When i click the sharing icon, it just shows the "iCloud photo sharing" and "Set Desktop picture" as options, and when i go to More...

...it takes me to the "extensions" window, and the Share Menu appears as "not enabled".  I don't how that happened, and i don't know how to enable it.

I did not have that problem with the iPhoto.

Any hint on how to fix this??

If sharing options are missing, try this fix:

see the link below for a Terminal command.

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203129

If Share options or Markup is missing after upgrading to OS X Yosemite or El Capitan - Apple Support

Just be careful, when using the Terminal. Typos in the Terminal can be dangerous.

Open the link and copy and paste  the Terminal command exactly as it is into the Terminal window, don't try to type it yourself.

It is a harmless command, but spelling errors in the Terminal can change the Terminal command into something dangerous.

This command does the following: It will reset the launch services database, so the installed applications and the services, document types, etc. supported by the applications can be found, i.e. for the Share menu.

Paths are searched for applications to register with the Launch Service database.

Valid domains are "system", "local", "network" and "user". Domains can also be specified using only the first letter. The parameters in the command are the following:

-kill     Reset the Launch Services database before doing anything else

-seed     If database isn't seeded, scan default locations for applications and libraries to register

I'm having this same problem. I tried the above advice and it didn't work for me either. Here a pic of what I see as my share options. And a pic of my extensions Screen Shot 2015-12-24 at 10.09.12 AM.pngScreen Shot 2015-12-24 at 10.12.31 AM.png

Your problem is different.  The Share options are all enabled in the Sharing System Preferences.

If they are not available in the Share menu the problem might be, that the photos cannot be shared, because they are not available.

Are you using an Administrator account? "Share Menu not enabled" could mean that parental controls have been enabled from the System Preferences.
