I recently updated my ipad mini 1st gen to ios 9 back in november. Now the wifi sync feature does not work even when plugged in. Any ideas on how I can fix it?

    Hi there UberManic,

It sounds like you have Wi-Fi syncing enabled but something isn't working. First if you haven't already I would use the troubleshooting in the following article about Wi-Fi syncing:

Sync your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iTunes

    Get help

If Wi-Fi syncing won’t turn on or isn’t working, try these steps:

    1. Restart your computer and iOS device.
    2. Check your Wi-Fi connection on your computer and iOS device. Make sure that they're on the same Wi-Fi network. Wi-Fi syncing doesn't work over an Ethernet to Wi-Fi connection.
    3. Check firewall settings. If you use security or firewall software on your computer or router, you can get help with security software, contact the manufacturer, or check the documentation to learn how to open TCP ports 123 and 3689 as well as UDP ports 123 and 5353.

If that doesn't get it going again, can you elaborate on what exactly isn't working? Is there an error message or anything that we can go off of?
