Q: Dell U2515H cannot connect to MBPr 2014 over MDp /Thunderbolt to DP

It seems I'm not the only one with this problem, I connected my 13" MBPr to my new Dell display but nothing is showing up, it just says "Entering low power mode" then goes to sleep because it can't detect it. I tried all the ports and it's not working, what else can I try?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Hey ShahKhan8,

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your external monitor connected to your MacBook Pro. Let's see if we can get that sorted out.

I would first check in the Display pane in System Preferences to see if the display shows up. If it does, then you can click on Gather Windows button to then change the resolution to see if that may be the reason of the display not showing. Another thing you can try is to use a different cable. Take look at the article below to go over that and other troubleshooting options to get your Dell monitor to work with your Mac.
