Q: BCA: installing 64-Bit Windows 7 on 13" MacBook Pro (Early 2015)

Hi all

I have searched high and low and struggled to find examples of the solution to my problem, without luck. I hope you may be able to assist.

As per the question, I wish to install Windows 7 on my 13" early-2015 MacBook Pro, using Bootcamp Assistant. However, I get the message 'Need 64-bit Windows 8 or later ISO file'.

Is there a workaround for this, other than using a virtual drive?

Any help appreciated.

Your 2015 Mac does not support W7 in Bootcamp. You can however use virtualization engines which do not let your Windows OS directly access hardware.

The list of Mac that support W7 are documented in Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .
