Q: can not find backup when trying to restore

I am trying to backup my ipod touch so I can restore it to my new ipod touch. After backing it up to icloud, I go to restore it on my new ipod touch but it does not list my backup. I did notice that I had some problems backing up. I had to try several times because it would take a long time or I would get a message saying unable to back up.

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 9.2

Are you using the same iCloud ID for both backing up and restoring?
Try again after resetting
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Apple is not reporting any problems.
