Q: Touchpad and keyboard freeze

This has been going on for a week, and it is driving me crazy. The touchpad on my Macbook Pro late-2014 freeze all the time. It is so bad that I had to get an external mouse. With the keyboard you have to press the same button several times to get a response. I have tried to reset SMC, but it didn't help. Please advise what else I can try.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Keyboard Keys Do Not Respond

Trackpad or Magic Trackpad is jumpy or erratic

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time.

Reset NVRAM/PRAM
