DesktopsIf you can get both the computers on the Internet at the same time without changing the cables, you have all the connection infrastructure you need to do File Sharing, including using Setup Assistant or Migration Assistant. One computer connected via Ethernet and the other connected via Wi-Fi is perfectly valid, but the Wi-Fi portion of the connection makes the transfer excruciatingly slow.
