Q: Brand new iMac upgraded to El Capitan, now won't turn on.

I have a new iMac(2013 model) upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan. Everything went well until I tried using FaceTime then the computer shut down. Now has no power at all when trying to turn it on even after I unplugged the power supply. No start up sound at all, screen is black. Time to take back to store? Any suggestion? Thanks.

Yes, take it back. no power is not a software related issue. In fact return it and purchase an Apple refurbished model.

    1. Check the power cord on the back of the iMac to make sure it is snug and full inserted.

    2. Try plugging the power cord into a different wall outlet in a different room.
