Q: When will the icloud be compatiable with outlook 2016 ?

I recently received the automatic download of the updated version of Icloud for Windows (Ver 5.1...) and it worked fine in my Outlook 2007.  With the update it stated that it fixed the problems with Outlook 2016 so I just uninstalled Outlook 2007 and reinstalled my Outlook 2016.  Now contacts and calendar are not visible any more.  I uninstalled Icloud for Windows and reinstalled but still does not work.  The add-in for Icloud is in my settings for Outlook 2016.  I even went to the  Apple support page to get help using Outlook with Icloud for Windows and followed the steps to turn on the Icloud calendar, contacts and reminders off and back on.  However, Mail, Calendar and contacts checkbox is not visible so I cannot follow the steps from Apple.  When I open outlook 2016 and try to open contacts and calendar from the icloud I get the error "The set of folders cannot be opened.  The information store could not be opened."  Can someone please help me with this?  I have been trying to get my Office 2016 (Outlook 2016) working with the icloud since October 2015, and am getting very frustrated with apple.  I almost ready to trash my IPhone and switch to an android phone however, my wife still wants to keep her apple products so, I will not be able to share calendars with her if I "**** can" my apple products.  Any suggestions about getting the Icloud for windows to work with my Outlook 2016?  I have tried everything!!!!!!
