I understand that you have music on your iPod nano that you would like to transfer to iTunes on your computer, but the music doesn’t transfer the way you would expect. 

If this music on your iPod was purchased from the iTunes Store, there are two different ways you can get this music in your computer’s iTunes library. 

One way to get your previously purchased music to your computer’s iTunes library is to download your past purchases directly from iTunes. The following article explains this process.
