Q: how to share photos to Facebook from Photos app

Hi,

I've recently upgrade my OS to 10.11 El Capitan.

I want to start using Photos as I like the layout and the organisational aspects / look compared to iPhoto.

What I'm having problems with is sharing my photos onto Facebook through Photos App. When I click on the share icon Facebook doesn't appear. I click other and it opens the System Preferences window. This is where I get stuck.

I did find a post with regards to enabling your Facebook account in your Internet Accounts within System Preferences. I've done this and its enabled. However I only get Contacts, Calendars, Notifications, Share Menu as options not Photos. If that makes any difference.

Is someone able to direct me in the right directions as to how to use share photos to Facebook via Photos App.

I have been avoiding the new photos app like the plague since I was so used to using iphoto. I finally caved about a week ago since I had completely stopped creating and sharing any event pictures on FB due to my lack of knowledge. Yesterday I wanted to share my FB pictures and couldn't and was so frustrated. I read your post and others without any answers. I just found the issue we were having, the limit to sharing photos is 50, it used to be unlimited, now it is 50.

If Share options are completely missing after upgrading to El Capitan, have a look at this support document:
