Dec 27, 2015 10:56 AM in response to kjwalthersby FatMac>MacPro,You were booting from your Mac before that partition was created and El Capitan was installed on it. Open System Preferences>Startup Disk and see if the original boot partition is still there. If it is, select it and reboot. If you wish, you can delete the partition with El Cap in it and expand the original partition back into it. Note that doing so also deletes everything that is on the El Capitan partition so be sure you first save all the files you want to keep.
Also note that if you really do have a Mac Pro (not a MacBook Pro), you can install additional drives (HD and/or SSD) in the other bays and with drive prices dropping substantially, why not expand your storage.
