Q: Moving to the UK

I am moving permanently to the UK ...should I wait to buy one until I get there? Worried about electrical current and plug adaptors etc?

    Hi

    There are no regional differences in Apple Watch hardware. The included USB Power Adapter will have pins that are localised to the country of purchase.

    When charging from mains power, you can connect the Apple Magnetic Charging Cable to your choice of:

    - The Apple USB Power Adapter that is supplied with the watch, or;

    - A genuine Apple 5W (iPhone) or 12W (iPad) USB Power Adapter, or;

    - An Apple-certified third-party equivalent of the above.

    If charging via USB, you can connect to a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port (if connected to a computer, the compuet must remain turned on and awake and the cable must be plugged directly into the computer and not into, for example, an external keyboard).

    Hi

    Yes wait until you get to uk because the warrenty is only valid

    In the country  of purchase .

    If you have a problem it would have to be sent to country of purchase for repair .

    Cheers

    Brian

    This is incorrect.

    If you purchase the watch in the US, you will still be able to access hardware warranty service in the UK under the Apple One-Year Limited Warranty.

    THank you for the quick reply!

    If I understand correctly I would not need to use an adaptor to reduce voltage? Just buy a plug (from Apple) to plug USB into the plug into wall outlet as normal.

    You're most welcome - and yes, an Apple USB Power Adapter with UK pins would work normally with no need for anything else.
