Q: Issue with Apple Pay
I was using Apple Pay like usual on Thursday. On Friday I go to use in Wal-Greens only to be told the register says "Tender not Accepted". I assume there is a problem with my AmEx. So I contact AmEx only to be told there is no issue with my card and I should be able to use it. In fact, they don't even see my purchase attempted under "declined charges". (Note: I am able to use my AmEx using the swiping method still, just not thru Apple Pay.) So I delete my AmEx and re-add it to Apple Pay, restart my phone, and try to use it at several different locations (I tried different Wal-Greens, Rite Aide and Whole Foods). Still not working. At this point I assume there is a problem with my Apple Pay. So to test it, I add a completely different card to Apple Pay....and it works! So I call Apple and AmEx again to see what the issue is. AmEx still says nothing is wrong with my card and Apple says they dont have anything to do with the transaction since it's done thru the merchant and AmEx. It's driving me insane and I can't figure it out! Any suggestions!?!
