Q: updating bootcamp to 6 fails

In a migration from an older mac (and this problem could have been there before). Trying to update bootcamp 5.x to 6.x from a USB drive built by bootcamp assistant and I get the following errors, the .msi file and directory its complaining about is there and I even tried replacing it with the one from the bootcamp assistant built one.. Bottcamp 5.x gives me wifi and probably graphics but no trackpad mult touch etc.

If this is the Winclone 2010/2015 restore, was the 2010 image SysPrep'ed? You may drivers from 2010 on the 2015 Mac, which will not work for many of the devices.

    If you are on W7/W8+ (not W10), using BC 6 drivers will not work. Use BC5 drivers using Install Windows 7 and earlier on your Mac using Boot Camp - Apple Support .  You can also install individual drivers, rather than the entire setup.exe.

    IS that the expected error that I show?

    individual drivers from? For the new trackpad. Originally wifi didn't work till i updated the bootcamp 5 with Windows Apple update. What about for the graphics card??

    It is the 2010-2015,  I thought if it worked correctly I didn't have to use sys  prep,  what else will sis prep rip out ?

    You will need to remove all hardware-specific bits using SysPrep. Please be aware that SysPrep is allowed only a limited number of times.

    Bitlocker is off and windows media player was shut down. This might be a windows 8 upgraded to 8.1 can't remember.

    There was a fatal error but restarting windows it came back to a fresh install screen can I trust it worked??

    IN sys prep, decided it's less pain to revert back to unsysprepped and try and get multitouch and assume graphics driver is working or could get somehow...

    You do have another option, which is uninstall all Apple drivers and then clone via Winclone an try a restore.
