Q: iPhone 6 Glass Screen Protectors do not work on 6s

Picked up my new iPhone 6s on Friday. Always have used glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Currently have the Zagg HD Glass on my work phone (iPhone 6 Plus). Anyway, picked up new 6s, grabbed a Zagg Invisible Shield HD Glass protector. Went to apply it, and it will not seat the entire edge of the device. About 1/4" in from the edge towards the center, it leaves about 1/4" gap where you can visibly see the glass protector has not seated the glass all the way.

Long story short, 6 screen protectors later, tried using an off brand at the kiosk at a local mall, (made for iPhone 6), and same deal. Was at the Apple store earlier, and told that the glass in the 6s is the same exact curvature as the 6. Went back to the Apple store later that day, was told the curvature is completely different.

The gentleman who sold me the off brand protector at the mall kiosk said he had the same exact issue with a customer earlier that day, had them return the phone (6s) for a new one and he was able to apply the protector no problem. At this point I walked into the Apple store and was told that the curvature is different and need to wait for new protectors spec'd to fit the 6s.

I know Zagg makes the Glass Luxe for the 6s, but I am not a fan of the colors.

My question is, can anyone confirm the curvature of the glass is in fact different than the 6? I've applied numerous Zagg Glass protectors on my 6 and never has this issue.

Zagg website is now updated and all screen protector for iPhone 6s has been removed and has a note of "not available for this device" they are now aware of the issue.

Also, if you analyse carefully this content, you're gonna understand the true issue users are facing.

And the true issue is manufacturers need to make a screen protector that fits properly.

This is extremely obvious from the photo you posted.

As no protectors manufacturers can do it, it's extremely obvious it's unreachable for them. There should be something not depends on them. Certainly they'd love to offer fantastic protectors, wouldn't?

I cannot see the protector very well but its edges appear to be inner the screen active surface, both sides, and they shouldn't; there is an image discontinuity due to it. Obviously, if the protector edges were outer the screen active surface the mismatching would be bigger. I've told there is no possibility.

    What?

Manufacturers can't make stuff that fits correctly?

    Why would you think this?

How did Apole manage to make a screen?

The iPhone itself is a pretty amazing device that did not even exist 20 years ago but you think it is impossible to make a decent screen protector that fits?

    Wow.

I’ve ampliated your photos and effectively you’ve got the two concerns: the protector is less wide than required - the screen active surface edges are outer the protector edges - and the protector edges are disattached from the screen surface all around. I.e., you’ve got a typical device sample.

As you can appreciate in this Community, users haven't found out tempered glass protectors which work, after having asked all the main protectors manufacturers and trying all their products. I'm sure the protectors manufacturers would love offering perfect products, don't you?

And there are no other smartphones I know in which tempered glass protectors cannot be installed.

And almost all smartphones buyers install tempered glass protectors in the moment they buy their devices.

No, they do NOT. Could this possibly be why no one is supplying these? No market, no need to manufacure.

Yes they are, in all the establishments I've gone to or asked about, for example Apple Premium Resellers.

    Check it and you'll see.

i used tech armor, spigen, icarez, zagg and panzerglass, but the above photo was tech armor and spigen, after those two glass,i did not take anymore photo after installation of zagg, icarez and panzerglass becoz of my disappointment, sorry for the blurred shots but the upper right and left is really not attached to the screen, when you push the glass you can actually see the glass and the screen attach to each other and after several minutes the glass detach.

I just visited the ZAGG website and the protectors for the 6s are still listed, and no note saying they are "not available for this device".

    http://www.zagg.com/us/en_us/invisibleshield/apple-iphone-6s-screen-protector/gl ass-apple-iphone-6s

Are you sure you're looking at the ZAGG website?
