Q: Really slow watching tv shows saved to the cloud, keeps stopping

Trying to rewatch a show that I purchased a year ago but I'm getting intermittent issues where it stops and starts (quite painfully). I'm trying to watch from the cloud rather than downloading.
Sometimes I can watch an episode with no issues, other episodes every three to four minutes it will hang.
I went through the uninstall process last night (following the correct order etc) and reinstalled iTunes but the issue persists. I've checked my host file but its fine.
I've tried to redownload the current episode we are having problems watching, but the download is super slow and it hangs with three minutes to go.
I'm with Telstra cable (fast) but the. best speeds I can get are between 25 mbs and about 35 mbs. This still seems to be good enough to stream Netflix and Presto, so not sure if that's the issue with iTunes. (Please don't tell me to check out if NBN is in our area, as we're not even on the list to get it yet even though I'm in a Brisbane suburb).
Hope someone can help and hope its not the speed caus
