Thanks for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
You mention that you can't sign in to the App Store or iTunes Store on your Mac after updating to El Capitan. It looks like you've already tried a lot of troubleshooting found in other threads. Knowing the results of what you tried can help with making some additional suggestions.
For example, there are some things I'm wondering about the issue that can help guide our troubleshooting:
- Can you sign in to the App Store/iTunes Store with your Apple ID on another Mac?
- Can you sign in with a different Apple ID on your MacBook Pro?
- Can you sign in with your Apple ID on your MacBook Pro from another network (like a library)?
If you haven't already tested to find the answers to these questions, give them a shot!
Additionally, be sure to try testing in another user account on your Mac--How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
Let us know your results and what else you've tried and we may be able to suggest some additional steps.
Best Regards. -
Oct 27, 2015 4:33 AM in response to joe_7399by MSiLight,Hi
I've can login in safemode, I can't login on other network, I don't have other mac to test, I don't have other appleid to test, but I can use my appleid in site, and on my iphone.
I had created another user but in that user I also can't login in app store.
I see a lot of threats with this issue, hope there will an update for this soon, it's very annoying.
Thanks

Thanks for replying to give some additional information.
It looks like you can login to the App & iTunes Stores under safe mode and sign in to your Apple ID from the web, but you can't sign in under your user account or a test user. Based on these results, it's possible that other software is preventing the connection.
Next, try disabling or uninstalling antivirus or firewall software that could be monitoring or blocking the internet connection.
You can find more help with this in Resolve issues between iTunes and third-party security software.
You may also want to check your StartupItems folder and temporarily remove any files you find there:
- Choose Go > Computer from the Finder menu.
- Click on Macintosh HD (or the name of your Mac's hard drive).
- Go to Library > StartupItems.
- If there are files in this folder, move them to the desktop and test the issue again.

Jan 1, 2016 8:16 AM in response to joe_7399by MJ,I have the same problem. After update to El Capiton (10.11.2) I cannot authenticate with my Apple ID.
It is NOT a network issue.
My AppleID works fine in the browser, on my other Mac, on my iPhone and on my iPad.
Tired signing out of iCloud...now can't sign back in..."spinner" spins for 10 minutes then I get a dialog that "Verification Failed".
Any ideas?
