Jan 1, 2016 11:27 AM in response to Russ Hby Jerome Quinn,I brought in every file from the card onto my desktop and I have now moved those files into various folders. Every other file opens perfectly and as normal, except this one. The file appears to be exactly the same as it was on the card and on my desktop after I copied it.

Jan 1, 2016 11:43 AM in response to Jerome Quinnby Russ H,Well, whatever the cause, it was camera/card-related and now there is some information that QT is looking for that is missing or been altered.
One alternative you might try is opening in VLC and exporting as an mp4. Another possibility is MPEG Streamclip.
Or download Pro Maintenance Tools (there is a trial version) and see whether it can repair it. I know there are some other third party apps that some people have used with success, but I have no experience with them; a search will turn them up/
Good luck.
Let us know how you make out.
