Q: scanner HP G4050 does not work with el capitan

Hi everybody,

after upgrading my imac27 to EC, my scanner HP G4050 did not work. So i downloaded th latest driver from HP for OS X and installed. Now it it visible again but it does not scan...simply the program waits for the scanner to prompt up but nothing happens.

I tried to use it with an older OS X (mavericks) I have on an external USB disk, and with that OS it works...any chance to get it back to work?

Open Image Capture, it's in your app folder.

Dear gnicco,
My experience.
After 5 months Problem solved!
This month software for OS X 10.11 to use the HP Scanjet G4050 became available
After download and installing, the scanner works again.
There are two options:
1. HP Easy scan
2. Picture loader (has more options for scanning.
