Q: No bootable device, MBP, no optical drive

Hello,

I have a macbook pro in mid-2010 with El Capitan. My optical drive died so I changed to a SSD. So my MBP has an SSD for the main partition and an HHD for data. I want to install Boot Camp on HHD.

First, I created a "Generalized" Windows 7 installation with VirtualBox and I cloned image "Generalized" Windows 7 on Boot Camp partition with a guide I found on Google. My generalized windows 7 is working in the VirtualBox.

I'm sure that my problem is because my MBR is invalid or because the Bootcamp partition is on disk1 and Windows will not start because it is not on the disk0.

I need help.

I thank you.

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

    Please post the output of

sudo VBoxManage internalcommands listpartitions -rawdisk /dev/disk1

and diskutil list from OS X Terminal.

You can also try Fusion Trial version.

Since the last message I try to put my copy with WinClone and open it directly with parallels desktop and boot from usb (I try to put the windows to go on windows repair, after I try with the driver from bootcamp)

So maybe it's not the supposed result of what we try since the beginning.

I don't know how we will make it's work so I just purchased 16gb of ram to be able to have a good virtual machine and I'm pretty sure it will be the best solution with my computer.. I should install bootcamp before my optical drive broke..

    Thank you for everything!
