Jan 4, 2016 12:05 PM in response to RTB09by fan28,★HelpfulSince this is a user forum, most of us could only guess when Apple will make that wonderful feature available. In the meantime, I've resorted to using albums to store pictures that I want to see on my Apple TV. I use home sharing for this. If you want to use albums without home sharing, the trick is to create shared albums. Apple TV will show these from your iCloud Photo Library. Here's a link to Apple support for shared albums: Get help using iCloud Photo Sharing and shared albums - Apple Support

Jan 4, 2016 11:13 AM in response to fan28by RTB09,Thank you for replying. I do think that Apple has mislead us on the current release of TVOS. The function Photos in TVOS has the same name as in Yosemite and IOS but does not have the same function and in the presentation makes no mention of not linking to the iCloud Photos that many of us have uploaded, paid Apple extra money for the storage but Apple have not made them available on their latest product! When I spoke with support they hinted that a release of TVOS would correct this omission from the original release of TVOS. I am aware of being able to set up shared albums to display Photos on the Apple TV but this a wasteful workaround for Apple customers who have uploaded all their Photos and Movies to the iCloud. Thank you for your reply.
