Jan 5, 2016 4:41 PM in response to Selenyx33by Michael Black,In order to participate in the annual upgrade plan, you MUST select a carrier and service plan at the time of purchase. If you buy a SIM free phone from Apple, you are eligible for the finance option, but NOT the upgrade program. The finance option is basically a term-limited interest free loan from Barclay Bank (Barclay pays Apple in full at the time of purchase, and you owe Barclay the full retail purchase price of the phone spread over 18 months with no interest).
