Q: my macbook won't charge. I've taken the battery out, restarted, checked cable/outlet. No luck. Any advice?

MY MacBook will not charge. I have checked cable/outlet, removed battery, restarted. All with no avail. Any suggestions ?

    If it still works using the charger then it may only need a replacement battery if it has a user-replaceable battery. Otherwise, make an appointment at the Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar and take it in for service. If you are not in the USA or cannot set up an appointment this way, then contact your local Apple Store directly.

    You might get more responses if you post to the 13" MacBook (2006-2010) forum area, as this one is for the new 2015 12" Retina MacBook that doesn't have a user removable battery.

     

    I requested that your post be moved there yesterday, but that didn't happen.
