Then perhaps you'd be happier with one of the many other navigation/mapping apps available in the App Store. Many of them are free, including Google and Waze.

Jan 6, 2016 9:24 AM in response to Miamivolksby CoolKyogre,★HelpfulI would think it's because Apple doesn't use Google Earth Google maps anymore because the two companies " don't get along". Ever since Apple and Google stopped working together Apple was on their own as far as maps.

I can read perfectly. It's you that can't seem to use correct grammar, punctuation and comprehend the fact that these are user to user forums, and nobody here would even begin to tell you why the map of your town is still not accurate. We do not work for Apple and therefore have no idea why the map is the way it is.
If you don't like it, then report a problem from within the Maps app be on your way.

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. No one here can (or is allowed to) speak for Apple. Therefore, the best we can do is answer the implied technical support question. Insulting people who are trying to help, even if you don't find the answer useful, is not very nice.

Jan 6, 2016 9:44 AM in response to Sparkleberryby ChitlinsCC,with all due respect Sparkleberry, the thread to which you linked is "ancient" by ASC standards
The definitive answer to the question is:
Apple is about midway through the project of creating its own proprietary map database due to be completed in 2018
