Q: how do I update my email password in gmail on my macbook pro account?

Hello!

I changed my password in my gmail account and now I don't know how to change the password on my macbook pro computer? Do I have to delete the account and then reenter? Thanks for your help!

Go to Mail>Preferences>Accounts>Gmail>Account information and change the password

This doesn't allow you to change the password....I think you have to go into Preferences and keychain. It's simple if you just delete your mail account
and then add it once again. That's what I found.....thanks for reply!

I can just go their in Mail preferences and change the PW. What happened when you try?
