Your question has been answered by the article I cited = Apple is midway through the job of creating its own map database due for completion sometime in 2018

I would assume that any in app reporting would speed up updating inaccurate or incomplete data that affects you personally, but I do not know.

Thanks.  Did not know that, Chitlins.

The link from varjak paw was 2014 which I suppose is ancient, as that is well over 1% of a century ago, but It is from here

You keep demanding an answer to your question so here it is...

The maps are out of date because they do not contain the currently available information.

People, why do you persist in providing comments to the person posting a question when you don't know what the answer is? I find it quite frustrating when helpers like you do this. Answer the question if you can (and most of you can't) but keep your well meaning advice to yourselves. I wonder, do you get points simply for responding? If so, you are inflating your numbers with offal.

It's not clear to me why you resurrected a thread that's been dormant for over six months to castigate people because you don't approve of their answers. This is a user-to-user forum. The whole point is for people to give advice. And, as long as people stay with in the Terms of Use of these forums, they may post as they please. Even pointless resurrections of old threads.   If you want definitive answers from Apple about why Apple does things, call Apple Technical Support.

Points for answering questions are primarily earned by the OP awarding them. They can award one "Solved" and two "Helpful". In the event that there is a good answer but the OP never marks the thread as solved, Apple may mark it as "Recommended". Additional posts do not accrue points. People who hang out here merely to get points don't tend to last try long.
