Q: email rejecting correct password

I'm trying to log in to my email and it won't take my password. I even tried changing my password through another channel and then tried re-logging on and it still rejected the password. Its saying that the SMTP server rejected password. Any clue on how to help me out here?

    Did you try deleting and reentering you email settings and password? Have you gone online to your server email account and login that way? What operating system are you running? Have you check in keychain access to see if your email password is correct?
