Q: how can I share my workouts with friends?

Is there any way to share workouts with other Apple Watch users?  My wife wants to compete for who works out more during the week with friends that do not live near us but do have Apple Watches.

Apple Watch, iOS 9.2

    Hi Bert

The Activity app on iPhone has a Share button (at the upper-right of the screen) that can be used to share data - including to social media, Messages, Mail, Notes and a printer.

To switch between viewing Activity and Workout history within the Activity app:

    - On your iPhone, in the Activity app, go to: History (tab) > month view > tap on Activity or Workouts at the top right of the screen.

Health and fitness data from Apple Watch, iPhone and other sources is also saved and aggregated within the Health app on iPhone. This data can be exported, which you may find helpful for more detailed analysis (Health app: Health Data > All - Share button at the top right).

There are also some third-party apps that you may find helpful - for example:

Check the descriptions and support resources for third-party apps for details of any supported data import and analysis features.

Thanks Jonathan for your response.  I see what you mean by the share button in the top right corner of the Activity app.  I see how that can be used but I was looking for something a little different.  My wife has a fitbit and there was a "work week hustle" part of the app that would allow her to compete against friends.  It would show all of the girls steps on one screen and rank them accordingly.  It was an effective motivation tool to be able to see a standalone screen that showed your friends activity.  I got her the Apple Watch but she still uses her fitbit just so that she can continue to compete with them.  It does not seem like something that would be very difficult to incorporate since all of the activity is already stored in the app.  It seems to be available for most activity trackers, including Nike Run app.  You have the ability to join or create a community and compete against other people.  Is there anything like that available for the Apple Watch.

Apple does not presently offer such a feature.

If you would like to suggest that Apple considers introducing something similar, you can do so here:
