Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
If I understand you correctly, you are getting an error message that you do not have a network connection when you try to use FaceTime. I have a couple of article here that should be of use to you in troubleshooting the issues. The first seems to be most relevant to your issue as I understand it.
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
Get help if you can‘t make or receive FaceTime calls
