Q: 12 Macbook Retina with external apple LED Cinema Display

I have a new Macbook and have a  Apple LED Cinema Display at work and an Thunderbolt Display at home that i have used previously with my 15 MacBook Retina. How do i connect the new Macbook to thse

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

    The Thunderbolt display won't work because you would need a Mac that had a Thunderbolt port to use it. The LED Display would work with a USB-C to Mini-Displayport adapter, but you wouldn't be able to charge the MacBook at the same time, you wouldn't be able to use the display's USB ports, and you may have difficulty adjusting the displays brightness controls as they would require the use display's USB connection.

     

    You should have chosen the MacBook Pro to use that monitor selection.
