Q: problem with icloud photos on laptop operating on Windows 7

I have had icloud photos set up on my laptop which is operating on Windows 7 for some time. Had a few problems but could always access the photos. This time when I tried to access it there is a caption which reads "icloud photos is not enabled" I have tried all sorts of things to enable it but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello there, lucyM27.

It sounds like you're having issues with iCloud Photos not functioning as expected on your Windows 7 computer. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great recommendations for troubleshooting:

Get help using iCloud Photos on your Windows PC

I'm signed in to iCloud for Windows, but a message in Photos says I'm not

If you’re signed in to iCloud for Windows but you see “iCloud Photos is not enabled,” check your settings.

    1. Open iCloud for Windows.
    2. Select Photos.
    3. Next to Photos, click Options.
    4. Select My Photo Stream. And if you want to choose photos and videos to share with friends, select iCloud Photo Sharing.
    5. Click OK > Apply.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

    Cheers.

Thank you Pedro. I have tried to follow this. I click on the box next to photos which turns blue. I then click options but nothing happens so I never get to select photo stream!
