Q: I have the original Ipad... my wifi connection is "grayed out" is there a way to get connected to the internet?

I have an original Ipad - I dropped it and now the wifi connect is grayed out and I do not have an option to connect to the internet - there is still a VPN option. Is there anything I can do?
