Q: Is there any way to use an iMac with 5K retina display (late 2015 model) as a dual screen monitor? Hours with Apple Support show that it doesn't have Target Display model.
Is there any way to use an iMac with 5k retina display (late 2015 model) as a dual screen monitor? After spending hours on the phone with Apple Support, they realized it isn't compatible with Target Display Mode. However, is there ANY cord to hook it up to my Macbook Pro (mid-2012 with retina display) to use it as an extra screen? Like some kind of HDMI cable? Would a thunderbolt to HDMI cable work? I guess it's hard for me to believe that NOTHING would work. Apple Support offered me no resolution or suggestions. I already have a thunderbolt to thunderbolt, but that's not working.
iMac with Retina 5K display, iOS 9.2
