Q: Issues in Permissions after recovering user from deleted users folder

I tried using migration assistant to replace a user on my new mac that I had been using. But there was an error so migration assistant stopped and what I was left with on the new mac was a blank user with the name from my old mac and my user from the new mac in the deleted users folder. I tried to recover that but now the permissions for everything are messed up. For example, I couldn't open my documents folder (and sometimes finder shows a blank documents folder unless I go from the dock) until I fixed the permissions to read and write from the Get Info button. Is there an end-all-fix-all solution to this? Thanks for the help.

Choose Utilities from the Finder’s Go menu, open the Script Editor, and run:

set theUID to (do shell script "echo $UID")

    do shell script "chown -R " & theUID & " ~" with administrator privileges

    do shell script “chmod -R u+rwX ~"
