    Hi

    Depending on your card issuer, what you have described may be the normal, expected behaviour.

    Devices are treated separately for Apple Pay. This is why you had to add your payment card(s) separately to each of your Apple Watch and iPhone (each combination of device and payment card is given a unique Device Account Number).

    There is presently no transaction history feature on Apple Watch, nor does Apple Watch provide transaction notifications for payments made via the watch.

    If the same payment card has been added to Apple Pay on your iPhone or iPad, then it is possible that payments made via that card on your watch may be included in the transaction history (the last 10 transactions) shown in the Wallet app on your iPhone or iPad.

    Depending on your card issuer:

    - You might see only transactions made with that iPhone or iPad, or;

    - You might see all transactions made using that payment card account (including usage via Apple Pay across all devices and usage of the actual card).

    If you would like Apple to consider adding new features, you can suggest them here:

    Thanks for the info. The card on my watch is the same card as on my phone. I assume it just came over to the watch when the watch was paired to the phone. It's the one and only card on each device. I just found it strabeg that I get no notification nor do any of the transactions show up in the transaction history when viewed on my phone. Maybe this is the norm for Apple Pay on the watch. Despite no notifications or transaction history Apple Pay does work on my watch which I guess is most important. Maybe that's how Apple intended it to work.

    Adding a card to Apple Pay on iPhone does not also automatically add it to the paired Apple Watch. At some point, you confirmed that you also wished to add your card to Apple Pay on your watch.

    As I hoped to explain above, this is indeed what Apple intended and it is the norm - except that additional information may be provided via Wallet on iPhone by some card issuers (for example, American Express).

    Thanks again it is now clear. I will likely choose to use my phone only as I prefer to have notifications and transaction history for my purchases.

    You're welcome.

    Bear in mind that, in some instances, transaction values shown within Wallet on iPhone may differ from the final transaction values (for example, some banks may communicate initial authorisation sums to Wallet).

    The definitive reference source - including for final transaction values - is your bank / card statement.
