Q: Resolving host issue

Running Google Chrome on OS X El Capitan v.10.11.2 on late 2013 iMac. Internet running extremely slow intermittently while displaying "Resolving host..." at the bottom. How do I fix this issue?

That indicates that the DNS server (usually your ISP) is not responding with the IP address for the web site that you are visiting in Chrome.

Just to add, it could be caused by a server problem anywhere between your location and the site you are trying to reach. I had the same problem with a couple of sites for the last week with any browser until it finally resolved itself.
