Q: NO sync outlook 2010 (windows) iOS 9.2 calendar via iTunes 12.3.2.35

Situation :

- Windows 7 (64 bit)

- iTunes 12.3.2.35

- iOS 9.2 (iPhone 6)

History :

- Always synced Outlook data to iPhone over USB cable, all locally (NO iCloud syncing, NO iCloud account)

- This worked very good up to 22.12.2015

- 22.12.2015 : message (not precise) "....can't sync contacts, can not contact ??? server ..."

- Reinstall iTunes

- Syncing OK for contacts, bookmarks, music

- NO Sync at all of calendars, although iTunes shows in the controlbar "synchronisation calendrier" and seems to "do" something

- Overwrite all calendar of iPhone (check box in ITunes infos tab) -> no effect.

- Reset sync history -> no effect.

- All modifications don on either Outlook or iPhone calendar are NOT considered.

    Thanks you for these informations.

    My tests since :

    (1) copied .pst file from my Laptop to a AMD PC (Win 7, OL 2010, iTunes 12.2.2.25)

    (2) Sync : asks if data should be fusioned, checked the box "all calendars" ans "overwrite iPhone" (in infos tab of iTunes).

    (3) Sync creates all appointments on iPhone correctly (mess-up of calendar-colours on iPhone, but all data is there)

    (4) Modifications, delete and add appointments are synced both ways.

    (5) copy back .pst file to Laptop & sync with iTunes gives :

    - OLD data is on iPhone & all new/modified data (approx. since 22.12.2015) is ADDED on iPhone leading to double appointments.

    - On Outlook everything is OK (except double categories on appointments that do not exist).

    My questions:

    (1) Where does this old data come from ?

    (2) Why is it merged with modified appointmernts

    (3) Where can I find the setting of the .pst file location in OL ?

    (4) Is the difference of iTunes version (12.2.2.25 vs 12.3.2.35) relevant (guess not)

    (5) Could be something in user profile, OL profile

    (6) As fromsouth states, is the calendar db location changed. I would be one of nmany having the problem, I guess.

I'm having this same issue.  No syncing between iPhone 6 with 9.2 and contacts/calendar from Outlook 2010.  Using iTunes 12.3.2.35.  I can overwrite my iPhone with the current calendar and contacts settings from Outlook, but it won't sync.  Also, even when I do sync or overwrite, I'm not getting any error messages, but it takes forever (an hour).  For now, I'm doing my syncing manually (ugh!).  JJBfirst - have you had any recent success fixing this issue?

And another rhetorical answer to number 6 "be careful what you wish for".

I see exactly the same problem - after updating to iTunes ver. 12.3.2.35 none of my iPxxx devices can sync with Outlook anymore. In the beginning I could overwrite existing contacts and calenders on iPhone &iPad, but now that only works sometimes. I have seen this same problem with several versions of iTunes over the years and it almost looks as if every second or third update of iTunes contain this problem - it does not seem to be depending on which version of Windows or Outlook, you are using, and unfortunately I have no suggestion or solution to the problem. iTunes contain a diagnostic tool in the help menu, and if you run the test of the unit sync, this program does start but will never finish, which indicates to me, that there is a sync problem only Apple can solve, but how to make them aware? Do they read this?

    State 10.1.2016 :

    (1) Activated a user account on Windows 7 (Account "Invité")

    (2) Copy .pst to the location of this account.

    (3) Syncing is ok for Calendars (Outlook), Contacts (Outlook) and bookmarks (Internetexplorer)

    - Copy back to my account the correctly snced .pst & syncing = OLD data is there and all changed appoinments (since apporx 22.12.2015) are doubled.

    - I intend to completely deinstall iTunes, clean what I can clean, then re-install iTunes 12.3.2.35. Had not the time up to now.

Thanks for the update.  I might try these steps.  Just to clarify, when you say "activated a user account on Windows 7," does that mean that you created a new user account for this test and then basically configured Outlook (with the copied .pst) and iTunes for this new user, and the syncing worked for this new user account?

After you copied the correctly synced .pst to your original account, is the synching working for calendars (Outlook), contacts (Outlook), and bookmarks for the original account?

If so, why do you still need to deinstall iTunes, clean, and reinstall iTunes?  Is there still an issue?

    (1) I activated in fact the guest account ("Invité" in french) that is default in Windows 7

    (2) Copied my  .pst to the location of this account.

    (3) Syncing is ok for Calendars (Outlook), Contacts (Outlook) and bookmarks (Internetexplorer)

    BUT :

    - Copy back to my account the correctly synced .pst & syncing lets appear OLD and all changed appoinments (since approx 22.12.2015) are doubled.

    - That's why I assume that the OLD data is somewhere in iTunes files of my account and reinstalling from scratch would hopefully solve the issue.

    12.1.2016 :

    (1) Deinstall iTunes, delete all files in /user/my music/iTunes/*

    (2) Install iTunes 12.3.2.35

    (3) Copy good .pst file from guest account : sync lets appear OLD DATA appears doubled in addition to the correct data.

    (4) Back to guest account syncing (after several trials) is again  OK

    Next Step:

Maybe re-install Outlook profile for my account. Thinking about it.
