Jan 10, 2016 9:22 PM in response to GeoMacbook46by bryan.vance,Why are you not shutting it down if you are finished for the night?
The battery will always discharge if it is on (even in sleep mode)

Jan 10, 2016 9:30 PM in response to bryan.vanceby GeoMacbook46,I guess it's more just being used to doing it that way. I have had pretty much every mac that has been released and have never experienced drain in sleep mode. My concern was that the drain seems to be excessive. On a Macbook Pro shutting the lid I can get days if not more than a week of standby. I have a habit of just flipping open the lid from time to time to check mail etc.
The alternative is of course to turn off the machine completely. Still feel though that I should get less of a drain than I currently am getting.
Thanks for the reply though. Much appreciated.

Jan 11, 2016 10:18 AM in response to GeoMacbook46by Linc Davis,Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
1. If any wired peripherals are connected, disconnect them.
2. Turn off first Bluetooth, then Wi-Fi. If an Ethernet cable is connected, disconnect it.
3. If your model supports Power Nap, turn it off.
4. Reset the SMC.

-Have nothing connected what so ever except the power cable.
-Bluetooth off -don"t use use it. Have turned off wifi, although wifi should turn itself off in sleep mode?
-Powernap off
-SMC reset done. Doesn't seem to help
Seems like a few people are having the same issue. I'm thinking that this may be an OS issue? Thank you for taking the time.

Jan 14, 2016 7:42 AM in response to GeoMacbook46by Linc Davis,The warranty entitles you to complimentary phone support for the first 90 days of ownership.
If you bought the product in the U.S. directly from Apple (not from a reseller), you have 14 days from the date of delivery in which to exchange or return it for a refund. In other countries, the return policy may be different. If you bought from a reseller, its return policy applies.
