Q: Battery life

HElp. My battery is draining faster than usual. After 12 hours of normal use I'm at 10%. Haven't changed anything with how I use the watch. Any suggestions?  Thanks.

    Hi

Try the following steps, which have helped to resolve issues with battery life for some users:

Try restarting both your iPhone and watch. Turn both devices off first, then restart your iPhone before restarting your watch:

    - To turn your watch off: press and hold the side button until you see the Power Off slider; drag it to turn off.

    - To turn it back on: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

If that does not help, next try unpairing and re-pairing your watch. The Watch app on your iPhone takes watch backups automatically, including a fresh one when unpairing. When setting it up again, choose to restore your watch from backup when offered the option. Most data and settings will be restored, with some exceptions (eg Apple Pay cards, passcode).

    - Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support

    - Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

This has been happening to me pretty inconsistently.

On a good day, I will easily last a full day (I put on the watch at 7:30 each morning for work, by 5pm I would still have 60+%).

On a bad day, it will drain about 1 - 2% every 5 - 10 minutes... by the time noon hits, it will have 50% left.

What I did today which worked is restart both my phone and apple watch when I noticed it draining faster than normal (normally, it wouldn't drop from 100% by the time I leave my house). If it still continues to drain quickly, keep restarting the watch until it stops.

Clearly, theres some sort of software issue happening behind the scene; its frustrating because theres nothing in iOS which tells you whats draining the battery.
