There is something about your statement that is really confusing to me. What is an end compatible app?  It could be that autocorrect changed what you meant to say. But if you are trying to delete an app, all you have to do is hold down on the app icon until it wiggles, then tap the X on the corner of the icon. Tap the home button when you are done.

IF it was that easy to delete this app I would have done it. It's a  Incompatible app that downloaded to my devices BUT it won't load for me to delete. I DID NOT BUY THIS APP!! I DID NOT DOWN LOAD THIS APP.!! when I try to load the app I get the message " incompatible with this device"  i would not have known about this app but it needed a update and turned off automatic update. So It showed up needing updated, it's been on my device for at least a year with out my knowledge at least.

Dear Apple, Please let me start off by apologizing, it's nothing personal. But I'm tired of people saying this is impossibility . 1. I did not download the app. 2. The app is not compatible with 1st gen. iPad mini. So why is it downloaded onto my 1st gen. iPad mini?? I emailed the Company, asking for help to delete it, but they won't reply. By the way, I do know how to delete app's. But I can not delete this app, because it will not load, because it IS NOT COMPATIBLE , because I have a 1st. gen iPad mini. Is their anyway you can help me ?? Sincerely GH -AKA- *********

Start simple with a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait until your iPad starts in it's own.

See if the app finished downloading. If not go to settings> general> storage and iCloud usage> storage> manage storage> wait for the list of apps to open. If you see the app listed deleted the app from there.

You have a private email address showing.   I have mentioned this to the hosts who will probably edit it out.   It is very unwise to show such info in a public forum.

If the other suggestions do not work, you can try your nearest Genius Bar (make an appointment). They might be able to figure it out - it could be adware/malware if you did not buy it. This is not a guarantee as they may not be familiar with such an old version of iOS.

Apple generally supports hardware and software for a certain number of years; if the version is too old, then it will be placed on the "no longer supported" list, so the support personnel may not have been able to help as they would not be able to replicate your problem on their devices (which is what they need to do).

FWIW, you are not addressing Apple here - these are user to user forums and we volunteer our time to help others.
