Q: When downloading movies off i-tunes it takes like 7 hours. Is there a setting I can change on this? We also have Roku and it works just fine.

    How fast is your internet connection? You can go to speedtest.net on a computer to test it.

     

    Roku's Apps may be adjusting the video quality to your download speed. Apple Tv does not. If you have it set to HD it will download HD quality video regardless of connection speed.

     

    You can change the video quality in Settings.

    • Apple TV (4th generation): Go to Settings > Apps > iTunes Movies and TV Shows > Video Resolution and select Standard Definition.
    • Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation): Go to Settings > iTunes Store and select Standard Definition.
