Q: Scanner Not Working

I have a I Mac and downloaded El Capitan and lost the ability to scan to/from HP CM2320nf. My husband has a macbook that he updated also and is able to scan. I can print from my computer. I tried the preview/file/import suggestion but import was not highlighted and I couldn't use it. Any suggestions?

Read this article from Apple Knowledge Base first. *Note* I have an older HP printer/scanner and had to delete it and re-add it to get to work.
