Jan 12, 2016 4:36 PM in response to smyrby stevejobsfan0123,Steps 3 and 5 will not apply, otherwise the procedure is the same. There should, in fact, be a disk that came with your iMac. If you don't have it, a retail OS X install disk would also work. Boot to it by holding the "C" key. Do this in place of Step 6, but still follow the instructions for Disk Utility. You're just doing it from the installation disk instead of the recovery partition, which your Mac doesn't have.
