Q: Plugin problem after El Capitan upgrade

I just upgraded to El Capitan version 10.11.1 (15B42) today before starting a new multicam project.  I discovered that when I add certain third party plugins to the primary storyline of FCPX version 10.2.2, the effect shows up in the video tab of the inspector but when I click on the disclosure triangle it turns downward but no parameters are revealed.  I remember having this problem in the past and I trashed FCPX's preferences and that solved the problem.  This time trashing preferences did not help nor did a restart.  The plugins that fail to show preferences are color-correction related. They are ColorFinale, Hawaiki AutoGrade and Hawaii AutoGrade.  This problems is occurring on my iMac (27-inch, Late 2012, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2048 MB, 3TB fusion drive) but not on my mid 2014 MacBook Pro.
