Q: if i delete photos from photo stream on iPad, do the photos still stay in iCloud?

I need to free up some storage on my 16mb iPad.  If I delete all the photos on the iPad, and it has been downloaded into my Mac and iCloud, do they stay in iCloud or is it deleted?

    Hey sniderk,

    I understand that you would like to clear up some storage space on your iPad and have some questions regarding My Photo Stream. I can answer those for you. 

    If you are using My Photo Stream and know that you have physical copies of your photos only your computer, then yes you can delete those items. They will be removed from iCloud so be aware of that. Take a look at the article below for more details.

    Now if you are using iCloud Photo Library, this would be a different story. If you delete a photo from here, it will delete it every other place you are signed into iCloud Photo Library on. Take look at the next article for this specific details.
