Jan 13, 2016 12:14 PM in response to AJ397by Alison E,TThank you. Before I do this is there any way I can restore the phone to a past date? My husband deleted photos from the iPhone 4s on Boxing Day and we didn't realise that it also deleted them of the iPhone 5s until after it had been backed up. My daughter is gutted because she lost all the photos she had from her holiday and concerts. Thanks

Jan 13, 2016 12:22 PM in response to Alison Eby AJ397,In my experience the last backup is the one that is available. Unfortunately, it sounds like it the backup in this case would have the pictures deleted. You could take a look at this link: Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support and see if you can find an older back up.
You may be able to find the pictures in recently deleted: iCloud: Delete photos from My Photo Stream and Delete photos from My Photo Stream - Apple Support
