Q: Mail APP shuts down after a couple seconds

Mail shuts down after a second to two. A problem report notification comes up stating "Mail quit unexpectedly"

I shutdown my computer and restarted in "Safe mode" and ran first aid and reinstalled OS 10.11.2. Mail still shuts down after a second or two.

I got to step 2 and mail still shuts down within a second or two.

I went into the yahoo mail site and deleted yesterdays mail. Usually this will remove the same mail items from the Mac Mail app.
It didn't work immediately, but has now. At least I think this is what happened. Thanks Link
