Error 2001 is usually USB related. However, liquid damage is probably playing a large role in this case. Make a Genius Bar appointment or visit your local Apple Authorized Service Provider. -AJ
you are very fortunate that the iPhone is not ruined
Get help with iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support < find "2001" and choose it to jump to "USB connections"
It would be best that you do not attempt to use it (or turn it on). Water and electronics do not mix well; as suggested, a visit to the Genius Bar or Authorized Service Provider would be recommended. Are you covered by Applecare + ?
nope, but its been only 8 months, that i've purchased iPhone4s...
thank you for kind rply .
If you don't have the Applecare+, then it does not matter when you bought the phone as liquid damage is not covered.
Here is part of the warranty terms (this is for US - I don't know where you live):
This Warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with another product; (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the Apple Product outside Apple’s published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider (“AASP”); (g) to an Apple Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Apple; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Apple Product, or if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Apple Product.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.

hmmmmm.
Why would you assume that accidental damage is covered under a warranty? A warranty is a promise that the device will perform as designed and be free of any manufacturing defects. What electronic (or even non-electronic) products have you purchased in the past that covered damage, without some form of additional coverage purchase?
Best solution for what? If your phone is liquid damaged, get an out of warranty replacement from Apple if the device is eligible, or buy a new phone.
